Many thanks for the feedback Mark and Elliot. It feels worthwhile to write for the blog when folk put their views forward even if they disagree. I suspect the fact that you have both said you agree with every word I've written goes to show how clear cut things were yesterday and at Brammall Lane. Never mind guys, what goes around comes around. It isn't over yet and perhaps the total unfairness of this whole sorry spectacle will be the spur we all need as a club to push us over the line.

Couldn't agree with you more. I mean, if you look at the Sheffield game and if the referee had done his job properly, we would now be 7 points ahead of them rather than one! What a difference that makes!
And today's penalty as well as the entire officiating of the game was atrocious. Now I can usually sympathise with referees because I am one myself, but the standard of refereeing in some important Blues games this season has been terrible.
You only need to look at the number of penalties the top 6 teams have been awarded this season. Now I don't know the exact figures, but I'm sure Cardiff have had at least 10, and Sheff Utd, Reading and Wolves must have had at least 7 each and we have had 1 penalty.
We haven't played brilliantly this season by any means, but for some terrible decisions to cost us promotion would be a complete and utter travesty as you said.
Thanks for this proper match report, as opposed to the official reports where it says 'Maik Taylor was alleged to have brought the Plymouth player down' and nothing more. Your report explains the truth behind the game.
Lets hope justice is down!

i agree with every word you have said if sheff utd finish above us it will be down to that idiot of a ref who gave them 2 goals that should not have been given and this second rate ref we had today but i have to ask who put such a young and inexperienced ref in charge of such an important game
