What a Result

As football fans, we love it when a team battles against all the odds and produces a result that goes down in history.

Yes I know I we won last night, more of that to come – but I’m talking about Luton winning the Paint Trophy on sunday. A brilliant day for football.

There were a couple of nice stories too. Apparently kids will get a season ticket for 20 quid with their wembley stub. (Invest in the youth and you get fans, our board please take note).

Also, apparently there is a big Scandanavian following. One of the regular fans arrived slightly late for his flight and Easy Jet wouldn’t allow him to get on. He was therefore stuck the night before with no way of getting to the game.

It appears that Luton’s Chief Exec paid for a flight for him via Brussels to get him there. Brilliant.

A work colleague follows Luton an they haven’t had a good season, however being able to go to Wembley and watch your team win is a fantastic experience. I hope that this will be the springboard they need to get themselves going again even if they do get relegated, especially with a board that clearly wants the best for their club.

Well done Luton, I take my hat off to you, (did you see what I did there?). I hope you do stay up – but if you don’t, that you can re-group and get yourselves back as a league side.

My work colleague proudly wearing his boater. Apparently he didn't take it off all day!

That’s a really nice thing to read, well done Hatters!

It also shows what clubs CAN do for their fans if they try. I’d like to see Blues’ board take a few pointers from their counterparts at Luton.
