Carson Yeung, in his bid to put the Blues on the world stage organised events at St Andrews attended by various stars. One of these was Stevie Wonder who performed a gig at St Andrews and alot of Chinese people in Birmingham went to see what all the fuss was about.

Halfway during his act, Stevie Wonder asked the crowd if there were any requests and a chinese guy shouted out excitedly, "Play a jazz chord!'"
Stevie thought about it and shouted back - " I don't do jazz!"

The chinese guy kept shouting back "Play a jazz chord, play a jazz chord"

Stevie ignored him and took other requests..at the end of the gig he invited one last request and the same chinese guy jumps up and down and shouts "Play a jazz chord, play a jazz chord"

Stevie hasn't got a clue what he's talking about and gives in and asks him to sing a few lines for him.....

"A jazz chord to say, I love you....I jazz chord to show you that I care...."

The interview does seem to indicate that they are quite open and approachable and from the video I saw of them outside St Andrews, they do genuinely seem excited about the running the club.

I liked his remarks about bringing down the price of tickets and preferring to let kids in for free rather that than have empty seats - but kids won't create the atmosphere that will put fear into visiting teams. Lets hope he does address the issue of bringing back the stay away older fans. I think a full St Andrews with the partisan atmosphere that this will bring coupled with a couple of new quality players will give us a very good chance of surviving this season.

The Chinese are best in the world at diplomacy - but lets hope they are talking straight and will deliver on their promises. At the moment, its all rosy - lets see what happens if results don't go as planned.

Lets hope the fans and team to their part - it would be a shame after reducing pricing, listening to the fans etc if there are still empty seats on a saturday.

Wow!! I hate to say it but seems honest enough.. I don't like this "we will make blues bigger than villa"... It stinks of desperation.. Reality and honest 1st... Short term 2 or 3 seasons stability building a squad.. Increasing popularity and marketing in china..(manure will always b no.1 over there bit with chinas population even 2nd or3rd place would not be too shabby revenue methinks)

Honesty and above all reality please Gentlemen.. No more false promises... Please don't try and tell us what the kitty is.. I think we wud jus rather see the right players arrive, withoutvleaving yourselves open by saying we have so much cash to throw around....

Thanks for the Q&A kev much aapreciated...!! Missed it last nite
