Our Previous Board
Feb 9th, 2010 | By KevB8ll | Category: Blues NewsWhat is it about our previous board? Do they not know when to be quiet? When they ran the Blues they were always annoying other fans and causing people to look at us and take the rip out of us. I don’t know what it was, but they could say something that is quite reasonable if said by someone else, but when they said it – it would sound very unreasonable.
Since they took over at West Ham, they appear to have spent as much time still talking about us.
When they comment about finances, they have spoken about some of the deals they did here – although not at West Ham I notice, then there was the “we were just in training!”
Well that is my line of work, and I suggest that you may need to do the course again!
I wasn’t a DS / DG knocker as such, I appreciated the fact that they did save the club and pretty much put us on healthy ground. HOWEVER, they didn’t take us to the next level, despite many promises, and there was a lot of hot air regarding players coming in or staying in. Positively, they were very loyal to managers, with only 4 being in charge during their time here.
HOWEVER, you have left – so PLEASE stop talking about your time here, and focus on West Ham, it sounds like you have plenty to get on with there.

Interestingly enough Kev, the Daily Mail is full of their stuff today and they have been sounding off about there being too many players on too bigger wages and that costs will need to be cut and salaries slashed etc etc and this has gone down like a lead brick with the West Ham fans on one of their blogs. They just want their new board to shut up and get on with it without making every financial move for public consumption. They also bang on about relegation being like armageddon – no s**t Sherlock! Unfortunately, I suspect Hammers fans will have a lot of this to come and no doubt lots of DS blowing his trumpet about how he and his colleagues have saved West Ham from the abyss just like he did for Birmingham City and when the fans of those two clubs think of him they should look grateful as if gazing upon the divine. I have always been one to remind their main detractors what DS and DG did for our club but even I’m beginning to get pig sick of being reminded of the fact. These guys have left and moved on for a so-called ‘bigger’ club. We want to move on too so I would echo the thoughts of our fellow supporters at the Boleyn Ground by saying to our old board; shut up and get on with the job of turning West Ham United around and leave the new owners at Birmingham City to move us forward to where we want to be which is at a level you were never willing to take us.
KRO SOTV
I read a lot of WHU fans are already complaining of DS’s extreme predictions of what might happen at the Boleyn Ground. I acknowledge that our previous board rescued us from oblivion & left us financially OK, for all of which I thank them. I also think they were rightly loyal to their managers (KB’s disgraceful jibe apart). I would criticise them for not going the extra mile in purchasing players (Michel a good case in point, when a bit more upfront would have secured the transfer) & for the totally detrimental outbursts from DS which only made things worse & alienated the fans, something which he never seemed to understand. KB was a good fundraiser, but as far as improving administration, it never happened. Imagine that a 70+ years old season-ticket holder had to queue more than 3 hours for a League Cup Final ticket & again for a play-off final ticket. It showed a total lack of understanding of how to treat fans, or not enough intelligence to do it another way.Now DS is telling WHU’s playing staff & the rest of the staff that they will have to take a 25% pay-cut at the end of the season. It should raise morale considerably I should think! The Hammers’ fans will have to get used to poor DG having to tidy up the messes that DS & KB leave around. And now DS has said Blues’ fans will be foolish to boo him ! I wonder what that statement will provoke- no booing at all do you think?
well well some things never change do they for god sake ds/dg/kb leave us be you havnt got us where we are at the moment the manager and the team + the new board breath of fresh air have and it seems your departures has lifted the spirits of all associated with bcfc . i hope westham survive but dont expect anything special cus it aint gonna happen believe me you are a comodoty and thats all and regardless what they say they dont love you as they say im sorry i like your club as a blues fan but beware they are already saying in public whats up and wage cuts etc etc in a nutshell your welcome to them really you are now its your turn sorry but its true
why dont the previous board shut their mouths and get on with the job of trying to keep west ham up yeah they left us financially viable but thats all so my message to them is shut up and leave us alone all the recent remarks in the press smacks of jealously after all who in their right mind would prefer west ham over birmingham !! blues to win 2-1
They may of saved us and run a steady ship but my god did they line there pockets! Money people who seen before they took us over that we had a crowd of 28000 in the old third division against stoke. They went in for the kill brought us out and made awful amounts of cash. Dont believe there hype!
P.s they had no choice to redevelope the kop and tilton the taylor report demanded it. Again dont believe there hype, gold by name…..
Also ds is now claiming to love west ham, hey he used to always say cardiff city were his dream club? Thats a fact.
The 2 Davids and Karen bought Blues for a quid sold it for 80 million so 80 million in pocket buy WHU FOR 50 million. They love WHU and the east end people that much well put your own money in at the moment the Good People of Birmingham own WHU as it was our money you took from us by using our emotions and love off our team to extort it with false promises.
Horrible set of People or what?

How many times were trading standards brought in? And the law for that matter! Remember they advertised free blues watches in the mail if you phoned a certain number and those that did got charged £18 for a watch trading standards said was worth £5…. Parasites!
