St Andrews Tannoy Sytem – Give Your Feedback
Mar 9th, 2010 | By KevB8ll | Category: Blues News, Kev's RamblingsAt the recent supporters clubs forum, it was announced that the club would be looking at the tannoy system during the Everton game.
Here are the instructions if you wish to give your feedback, (taken with permission from the official site):
PA SYSTEM – WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Over the last few months we have been receiving feedback from supporters that the PA System is not performing to its best ability.
Therefore at this Saturday’s game against Everton (kick-off 3pm) we have engineers on site to monitor the sound levels to ensure the best possible audio is received in all areas of the stadium. Sound levels vary from an empty stadium to a full stadium so we need your help at the game to rectify this issue.
If you have any feedback about the PA system in your area please approach your nearest steward who will complete a questionnaire on your behalf. You will be asked your block, row and seat number, so please have this to hand.

It’s actually Hollywood Monster, haha. I have a season ticket in block T07 Row 37. The sound is abismal. Part of the 10 point pledge last year by the barrow boys was to improve the tannoy system…if anything it has gotten worse. From where I sit all you can hear is a muffled noise with very echoey reverberation. If you want to hear what a tannoy system should sound like just take a short trip to Pride Park. The other week when we visited them in the FA Cup there tannoy system was spot on…crisp, clear and concise. As was Pompy this weekend just gone. I really cant see where we’re going wrong unless Gold and Sully never actually put their hand in their pocket to address the problem that they they promised they would….wouldnt be the first time they didn’t stand true to their word!!
Anybody else see the irony in asking for Tannoy feedback?
Thanks for your feedback guys, make sure you pass it to the club on Saturday.
Not sure about the old board, but the new board are committed to getting these things sorted.
Here is the blog I did covering the last supporter club meeting. The tannoy is covered there.

It would help the sound system if the announcer stopped screaming into the Mike – he is driving us barmy
That point was made at the meeting.
I work for a company that manufacturers live audio entertainment systems in called Klark Teknik Midas. Get um to give me a call and we’ll look at getting a decent system fitted for them. I’ll even make sure that they can a decent discount on our products if I can?
Please send them my mail address and I’ll get the ball rolling. Happy to do all I can for our beloved club.
Our parent company Behringer are doing the installs for all the the World cup stadiums in South Africa. I’m sure I can sort something out..?
the new system sounded great at the start of the season (akin to Liverpool’s which is the best in the country) – whoever is messing with it doesn’t know what they’re doing. In block 5 (Tilton) the sound is abysmal – but it varies from match to match. We definitely have a good system – but they need to get someone in who knows how to use a graphic equaliser !
