Sunderland vs Blues – Brief post match thoughts

Mar 20th, 2010 | By | Category: Blues News

I’m not one usually to question the manager but I really do not see the sense in this tactic of letting the opposition have a 2-0 lead before starting to play..  Thing is when we did start to play I thought we were pretty good.  We created an awful lot of chances but unfortunately Craig Gordon in the Sunderland goal chose today to play a blinder.

Jerome took his goal well but could have had a hat trick today.  In fact if the game had finished 6-6 it would not have been too surprising as both defences were poor today.  I thought the scoreline flattered them but we can’t afford to sleep through the first twenty minutes next week as Arsenal will tear us to pieces.  McLeish may have to rethink the midfield for next week as while Michel provided a good pass for the goal he was often caught out defensively.

All in all a good game to watch but a frustrating one as well.
