This week we have teamed up with Danny over at Burnden Aces.  You can read Kev’s answers to his questions here.

You had a difficult season last year, but in the end pulled away from the relegation zone. Do you think you are strong enough to finish mid-table?

When Coyle came in, we were able to move out of trouble fairly swiftly and seemed to be comfortable for the most part after that. We’ve not lost any players over the summer and have managed to improve our squad so I’m confident we can push on and have a comfortable, mid table finish.

Do you think Coyle has what it takes to do what Sam did?

The league has changed a lot since Allardyce was here and we are obviously now a long way behind the likes of Spurs, Everton, City, etc who we were previously able to compete with. So i can’t see us challenging for Europe any time soon however Coyle has brought a feel good factor back to the club after the extreme negativity that ran throughout during Megson’s reign so on that front, Coyle is definitely taking us back in the right direction.

Are there any players you are being linked with, where do you need strengthening?

Worryingly, there haven’t really been any players linked with us recently. We are still short of options up front, especially anyone with pace and the defence that for the most part was woeful last season hasn’t been improved upon at all so we can only hope they maintain their good start to the season.

With Blackburn being linked with a big money takeover, how do Bolton fans feel about your club’s financial situation?

Obviously, the majority of us would rather see us able to go out and spend big on players year after year but most fans accept that this can’t be the case and i think I’d rather stick with our bargain basement approach than possibly face going down the same road Portsmouth recently did. So for now, I’m happy to stick with our current owners rather seeing any foreign investment that we can’t be sure about.

After just a couple of games, what early tips would you give for champions this season and which teams do you expect will be playing Championship football next season?

Chelsea have looked great early on and i can see them winning far more comfortably this season than last year. As for relegation candidates, I don’t think Blackpool stand a chance, Wigan have looked terrible so far and will hopefully heading back towards the non-league football they deserve then the third spot i can see being fought out between Wolves, West Ham and West Brom.

Have any players impressed early on this season that we should be keeping and eye on this Sunday?

Johan Elmander finally seems to be trying to prove himself to be worth the £8mill spent on him and has looked great in his two games so far, grabbing two goals against West Ham. Martin Petrov was our big summer signing and despite being a little underwhelming so far, he still looks promising and I’m sure it won’t be long before he’s at his best.

Are there any Blues players who’ve caught your eye so far this season?

I can’t say I’ve seen anything other than MOTD highlights however Zigic’s height is something we will need to be wary of as an aeriel presence is something our defence always seems to struggle against (along with most other forms of attack!).

And finally, where will the points be going Sunday afternoon?

We’ve made a good start to the season and im hopeful that will continue. It’ll be close but i think we’ll scrape it 2-1.
