Barnsley v Birmingham City Brief Post Match Thoughts
Feb 21st, 2012 | By KevB8ll | Category: Blues News, Kev's Ramblings, Lead Article, Match reports, Matches, PlayersI was a bit gutted when this game was called off, we were playing well and I thought we’d win then. Very often form changes and when the game is re-scheduled, the result isn’t what we would have hoped for. Well not tonight!
Blues came out of the traps quickly and Chris Burke, who apparently was brilliant today, put us 1-0 up with a deflected shot. Listening to Blues Player, it sounded like we were the better side for much of the first half. However Barnsley had some good possession and on 20 mins they equalised with Craig Davies scoring after they may have had a good shout for a penalty.
Blues seemed to pick up the play again, and just before the half hour mark, Keith Fahey put us back in front with a 20 yard strike. Once again though, Barnsley responded. They were close to equalising a 2nd time when they hit the bar.
In the 2nd Blues contained the game, and although Barnsley had a 10 or so minutes where they came close and had a goal disallowed, Blues seemed to have the game under control. Nathan Redmond replaced King on 70 minutes and he got the 3rd on the 78th minute. King had a couple of good chances too prior to going off and it looks like he is heading in the right direction with his fitness.
So we have another win under our belt. We remain unbeaten in 2012 and now 15 games unbeaten in total. Manager of the month curse??? HA!

COME ON YOU BLUES!

Thanks for the independant report Kev. I was getting fed up of reading the same report over and over regurgitated by the copywriters of the Daily Mail, ESPN etc on the Newsnow
Only my thoughts after listening to the game, not a report as such. But thanks.
If this was Villa then I bet they would find 3 things to moan about!
