New poll on the right hand side. Blues have been made favourites to win The Championship by bookies. Do you think we’ll win the league? Vote now.

The last poll saw over 340 votes with 39% believing that we should sell him – but only for the right price. 37% believed that we should get rid of him, even if we have to give him away whilst 23% believe that we should keep him at all costs.

According to some online sources we’ll be offerd 3 million + Jason Roberts if we take whats on offer at Wigan. Where as if we go to Blackburn we’ll be getting 3.5 million but no other player. Roberts is valued at around 1.4 million and is also a target for Besiktas. I personnaly would take Wigan up on their offer I could see Heskey playing for Wigan for Blackburn I could’nt see it happening.

I’d snap Wigan’s hand off for that offer but I haven’t seen it posted anywhere other than messageboards. I like something a LITTLE BIT more credible to post it… you know, like The Mirror!

Well I read ‘The Sun’ and there was certainly a story there. I just question why anyone would get Heskey he’s proven that he wont be a goalscorer and its not much better when he will be playing as a target-man.

I’d prefer to see Heskey stay. His workrate is immense and movement first-class. It’s a shame those around him are not in tune with him.
If her were to go to Blackburn then we may just see the best of him.
I’m quite amazed that Peter Crouch can be picked before him for England.

heskey to stay it was only confidence and bruces brain wave to play him in wide positions when we have the most productive winger in prem heskey and jerome would murder the championship defences

You have arrived at the archive site of the Birmingham City blog Joys & Sorrows. If you were looking for fresh, meaty stuff then this way, please.

This section of the site covers the blog portion of J&S from 26th April 2006 - when the site returned after a catastrophic hosting failure causing the loss of over 500 articles - to 28th April 2008 - when I decided to have a prolonged rest from the site.

Here, if it so takes your fancy, you can find every single article, totalling over 1,000, written by myself and many others over that two year period.

Unfortunately, the formatting on some of the posts is a little rough but since this is an archive, it doesn't matter too much. Nothing is unreadable although a great deal of the links will now, sadly, be broken. So internal Joys & Sorrows links will lead you to 404 errors.

I decided to archive them in this way because I wanted to start something fresh for the main part of the site. Hopefully you'll be able to see that up on the main portion of the site now.

Commenting for the archive section has obviously been switched off. You can flick around the archives by using the 'Find It' function in the middle column or the respective 'Categories' or 'Archives' headings in the sidebars
