A Shameless Plug for Our Hosts

As many of you will remember, back in the Autumn the hosts we were with at the time got hacked – several times! The result was 2 months worth of lost content for both the blog and the forum.

I decided enough was enough and went hunting for a new host. I was led to EZPZhosting and decided to move there. EZPZhosting asked for a review which I wrote for them, but I thought I should copy it here. We are all prepared to criticise when things don’t go well for us, which is fine, but many of us don’t celebrate when things go well.

Anyway this is the review I have done for EZPZhosting:

If you are looking for the personal touch with your hosting, look no further than EZPZhosting.

From the moment you make contact you will be looked after. Any questions, no matter how silly, will be answered by Dan or his colleague so you know exactly what you will get for your money.

If you have had a bad experience with support from a host, and I have, then be re-assured that these guys are SUPERB at responding and keeping in touch. You will get a response measured in minutes rather than hours. This does not finish just because you have signed up, it is the way they do business.

EZPZhosting are proof that a quality service does NOT have to mean a big monthly bill. The rates are among the best I have found – and better than any other host I have had including those in the States. But hey – if you want the States, EZPZhosting offer hosting there too!

The packages they offer are full of great features that come as standard for your monthly price. Features that you may have to pay as extras elsewhere.

I have a link on my site because without question, EZPZhosting are the BEST hosts I’ve ever been with not just because of the support, not just because of the value for money or not just because of the package – but all of those things!

Kev

So if you are on the look out for these points in a host, please consider them. IF you do – then use the link here on the front page as we will get a small financial reward for referring people – but that isn’t the reason for this, the reason is I am VERY happy with the service so far.

Did the Joe Gallagher Interview Link Not Work for You?

That’s because my hosts had to do some unplanned maintenance.

Anyway, the article is available again. Read the interview that Joe gave me here. He talks of his fondness and memories of his time at Birmingham City.

If you have any memories of his playing time with us, tell us about them in a comment.

Site Update, Other Blues Sites and Supporters Clubs

I want to start by wishing you all a very Happy New Year and I hope as we start a new year and decade, that things are on the up for you.

2009 was a pretty successful year for Joys and Sorrows, and once again, thank you to everyone who has written an article, written a comment, has read anything on the site and has contributed on the forum.

A special thank you to Andy and Brian at Small Heath Alliance and Singing the Blues respectively, for plugging our articles – thanks guys, and I look forward to catching up with you in February.

Up to December, we were getting around 12,000 page views per month however December was awesome with us getting 26,500! I was really proud of some of the articles that we produced last month, and I’m looking to build on it for this coming year.

If you have any ideas of what we could do as a blog, or would like to write an occasional or regular article for us, please let me know via the contact page.

I have added a list of supporters clubs websites which we’ve focused on here at J&S. As I have said before, if you are involved in a supporters club in the UK or abroad and would like to promote it, let me know via the contact page.

I look forward to what 2010 brings for us as the club is doing well, I’m sure there will be articles on new players. We already have an interview with another Blues legend in the bag, and that will appear in the next few days.

See you soon!
