Karren Brady Joins the 2018 World Cup Board
After leaving the Blues, Karren Brady has joined the 2018 board to try and help the success of England’s 2018 World Cup bid. Her business track record is excellent, and I think this is a really good decision by the board.
As someone who has appreciated her efforts for the club, I hope this goes well for Karren and the bid and ultimately for England.
Karren is also now involved in the BBC reality show, You’re Fired – sorry I mean The Apprentice.

Birmingham Brummies
I know this is a football site, however – Aff, who previously owned and ran J&S is a massive Speedway fan, he recently sent me this message:
Kev could you give a massive plug on the blog please. The Brummies could be gone at the end of this season and that would be a tremendously sad day for a number of people around Birmingham. The Brummies are the third best supported team in the city and are making massive strides to bring prestige – and silverwear (Tomasz Piczsz and Jason Lyons recently won the Premier League Pairs title at Somerset beating the home side in the final on their own track) – to Birmingham.
They deserve the suport of local people. Please, please, please could you mention all of this in a blog. I would really appreciate it.
I’m sure there are a lot of you out there that are too. It appears the Brummies need some support. Please read the post in the forum linked below, if you can help I’m sure it would be appreciated.
It would be a shame to lose Speedway from Brum.
