7 points from a possible 33.

By the end of tonights games we could be only 9 points above relegation.

I'm not 100% sure but believe we were probably a similar amount of points clear in 2011 when we went down under eck at this point in the season.

There's no way the board will sack Zola now, and hes apparently been given assurances he will be here next season and has money to spend to get us promoted.

Lets just hope that not promotion from league 1 :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead

Mean while Villa will probably sack Bruce next week and have Rowett in charge by mid march.

I think this is now a crisis, but as Azza says, I've no doubt Zola will see out the rest of the season at least, so not much point getting too agitated about trying to get rid of him. For me, Villa's struggles are highly amusing but no consolation at all; I really couldn't give a toss about them.

I'm not sure how poor finishing is the fault of the manager. Poor defending I'd expect considering the players we have missing at the back.

At least agent Bruce is still working his magic at Villa Park.

Well, we seemed to be doing okay under Rowett.

Oh please, you were slagging off Rowett on a weekly basis mostly around his team selection and substitutions.
Funny how nobody remembers that in Rowett's last three games we conceded a total of 8 goals.

I base my opinions on what I've seen with my own eyes and I saw a massive improvement between the Forest and Fulham games. I'm going again on Saturday and am looking forward to a good win.

I don't think the poor defending can be solely pinned on Zola, we've been awful at set peices all season.

Yet we were 7th. I may have moaned about it - but it worked far more than this is.

I'm also basing my opinion on what I am seeing with my own eyes - I'm a season ticket holder, too. We might look pretty at times, but we're not winning - and THAT is what matters.

I'm going again on Saturday, I've paid for it, but it's unlikely to be a win.

Just for the record I was 100% against sacking Rowett and replacing him with Zola, I also voted remain.

But just like Brexit I'm now in the "The decision has been made so we've got to get behind it" camp.

Chris Iwelumo (sp?) said on The Championship that Zola should go because it is a results-oriented business. Five minutes later, he said that Steve Bruce was the man for the Villa job (despite their results being as bad as ours).

I love football experts.

That's one decision I can't get behind.

Sighs, straps on old armour, wearily climbs on faithful horse, predicts a 2-1 win because this has to end some time.
