Thanks for the space...

So, based in Dubai - get back to UK 4 or 5 times a year and usually get to see blues during a visit, although had a run of away games during last few visits back. Living away from the famiy i can just about swing a trip to St Andrews, but Sunderland is stetching it a bit far!

In the Middle East, Showtime Arabia has each premier league game on live and so Blues Middle East meet up each weekend to have a pint and watch the match.

We meet in the Hotel Byblos at their bar The Crown and Lion.

All welcome, PM me for contact details.

KRO and SOTV!!!

Where are you based? Calgary, Canada.
How long have you been there? All my life
How often do you get to see Blues 'live'? Maybe once a month if it's shown on "Sportsnet", but all the Blues matches are on "Setanta Canada" sometimes live but mostly tape-delayed
How many trips back to Brum you had? 3, once when I was four, when I was 17 and the year after that. (I'm 48 now)
What do you miss most about living in Brum? Never lived there but I did love the Pubs and the curry when I visited.

Nice idea, thanks for the space indeed.

The Blues Supporters' Club in The Netherlands is based in The Hague. Several of us live here, mostly working for international courts and the like. We also have some members who live elsewhere in The Netherlands, but still come to The Hague to watch games together. I've been here for ten years, which is probably about par for the club.

We meet at The Shillelaigh Irish pub at Javastraat 94. (http://www.theshillelaigh.com/). The landlord keeps a very nice pint, and it's a good friendly place. As we're been going there for several years, the Blues game is almost always on live, however many Premiership games are being shown. Last Tuesday, for example, Blues-Blackburn was on the big screen, while Man U-Wolves was relegated to a small tv above one end of the bar - despite the fact that the landlord is a Man U fan.

We arrange trips to see Blues in England a couple of times a year, usually to away games. This year we went to Wigan - what a good time that was! - and we're looking at going to the game at Sunderland in March. People also go over to Brum fairly regularly; one of our members is a season ticket holder.

Needless to say, any Bluenoses who find themselves in or around The Hague on matchdays are more than welcome to join us.

I isnt Kev, although mailed Sarah to suggest I open one!

not sure whether it will come off though, be fun to organise, some massive football fans over here.

they are sympathetic to our plight, the local team (Allemania Aachen) had a similar experience, qualifying for Europa through losing cup final, got relegated.

but they then went on European tour, Seville, Athens etc etc.

really hoping for Draw for group (if we get there), to be JC Roda, Schalke, Standard Liege... no more than half an hour to all of them!
